Extreme metal quartet Inferi are back with a new record titled Heaven Wept coming out on April 10. And if the first single is any indication, it\u2019s going to be an absolute ripper. <\/p>\n
The new track, \u201cThe Rapture of Dead Light\u201d isn\u2019t fucking around. From the moment you hit play, it\u2019s furious vocals, pummeling blast beats, and an attack from the guitars that just doesn\u2019t quit.<\/p>\n
Speaking about the new abum, the band said Heaven Wept is their first album since 2014, marking the longest time they\u2019d been without a new release.<\/p>\n
\u201chis album came together under challenging circumstances\u2014after the departure of Mike Low (guitar), we had to completely rewrite material. We then brought Sanjay Kumar (Wormhole \/ Equipoise) into the fold and the process began anew. With Andrew Kim\u2019s exit to join Brand of Sacrifice, Malcolm stepped in to perform bass duties.<\/p>\n
\u201cHeaven Wept is also the final album with Spencer Moore (drums) before he moved on to Archspire. We decided to work with Mike Low again for recording, mixing, and mastering. His deep understanding of our approach made him the perfect partner to help us refine our sound with the new lineup.<\/p>\n
