New Snow Leopard Cub at John Ball Zoo<\/p>\nThere’s another cute new addition to Grand Rapids’ John Ball Zoo! The zoo took to social media on Friday to announce the birth of a snow leopard cub.<\/p>\n

You may remember that Yuki, the female snow leopard at John Ball Zoo, gave birth to another cub, Mera, back in September 2024<\/a>. The cub was born on July 28 and has yet to be named.<\/p>\n Can I See the New Snow Leopard Cub at John Ball Zoo?<\/p>\n For now, mom and cub are being kept behind closed doors. So, if you’re planning to visit the zoo anytime soon, you aren’t likely to see them.<\/p>\n The zoo says that they hope that keeping them behind closed doors will help them “bond and grow stronger.”<\/p>\n But, they say,<\/p>\n don\u2019t worry, we\u2019ll be sharing updates (and some serious cuteness) soon.<\/p>\n For now, it appears that both Yuki and the cub are doing great as can be seen in this video posted by the John Ball Zoo.<\/p>\n What is the Name of the New Snow\u00a0Leopard Cub at John Ball Zoo?<\/p>\n As we said, so far, the baby doesn’t have a name. But here’s to hoping that they’ll ask the public to vote on a name again<\/a>. Yuki’s last cub was named Mera, which was one of the options that the public could vote on.
