Michael Rapaport came for Colton Underwood\u2019s sexuality struggles, and it backfired \u2014 big time.<\/p>\n
During the roundtable portion of Thursday\u2019s episode of \u201cThe Traitors,\u201d Rapaport accused the former \u201cBachelor\u201d star \u2014 who came out as gay<\/a> in April 2021 \u2014 of being a Traitor because \u201cnobody in this room would be better at holding a secret than you.\u201d<\/p>\n Underwood, 33, fired back, \u201cThere it is. You think it was fun for 29 years of my life?\u201d prompting Rapaport to insist that his comment had \u201cnothing to do with it.\u201d<\/p>\n The actor, 55, added, \u201cI think you came into this game loving the idea of being a Traitor.\u201d<\/p>\n Michael Rapaport attacked Colton Underwood\u2019s sexuality struggles on Thursday\u2019s episode of \u201cThe Traitors.\u201d Peacock<\/p>\n During the roundtable, Rapaport accused the former \u201cBachelor\u201d star \u2014 who came out as gay in April 2021 \u2014 of being a Traitor because \u201cnobody in this room would be better at holding a secret than you.\u201d Peacock<\/p>\n But the group wasn\u2019t buying it. Though some people had discussed voting Underwood off that night, most of them changed their vote to Rapaport after hearing his remarks.<\/p>\n \u201cYou can\u2019t blame someone for being forced into a closet for the majority of their lives,\u201d\u00a0Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir, who is openly gay,\u00a0argued. \u201cThat is what we took it as.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cReal Housewives of Potomac\u201d alum Candiace Dillard Bassett \u2014 who is playing the game as a Traitor \u2014 interjected to ask Rapaport to \u201cclarify\u201d his remark if his intention was not to mock Underwood\u2019s experience.<\/p>\n \u201cHis behavior is of a Traitor. His behavior is secretive. It\u2019s conniving, it\u2019s chirping, it\u2019s commiserating. It\u2019s cowardly,\u201d Rapaport claimed.<\/p>\n \u201cThere it is,\u201d Underwood fired back. \u201cYou think it was fun for 29 years of my life?\u201d Peacock<\/p>\n Rapaport insisted that his comment had \u201cnothing to do with it.\u201d Peacock<\/p>\n Despite the group telling the comedian he was \u201cwrong\u201d regardless of his alleged intentions, he barked back, \u201cTake it however you want. This is a Traitor. You\u2019re a Traitor \u2014 a commiserating and colluding Traitor.\u201d<\/p>\n Rapaport ended up receiving the most votes and was kicked off the show. Though the goal is for Faithfuls to detect and remove Traitors, many in the group made it clear that their votes had to do with Rapaport\u2019s actions.<\/p>\n Even \u201cSurvivor\u201d alum Natalie Anderson \u2014 who had befriended Rapaport, but mostly to stay on his good side \u2014 was swayed by his \u201cholding a secret\u201d statement.<\/p>\n \u201cFor me, there are some things that it doesn\u2019t even matter. \u2026 Today, the way you spoke to Colton, for me, it\u2019s enough to write your name,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n But the group wasn\u2019t buying it, and the actor \u2014 who was a Faithful \u2014 was voted off. That absolutely wasn\u2019t the intention.\u201d<\/p>\n He added in a statement to TMZ<\/a> on Friday, \u201cI did speak to [Underwood] right after filming. We had a great man-to-man conversation, and everything was very cool and respectful. I like him and wish him and his family the best.\u201d<\/p>\n Underwood came out on \u201cGood Morning America\u201d nearly five years ago.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve ran from myself for a long time,\u201d he explained to Robin Roberts in the sit-down interview. \u201cI\u2019ve hated myself for a long time. I came to terms with that earlier this year and have been processing it, and the next step in all of this was sort of letting people know.\u201d<\/p>\n Underwood came out on \u201cGood Morning America\u201d nearly five years ago, going on to marry and welcome a baby with Jordan C.
