According to CSAD, Usman initially attempted to deceive them following the test result, but ultimately came clean about using testosterone and another prohibited substance.<\/p>\nAdvertisement<\/p>\n
Usman will be ineligible to compete until April 9, 2028. During that time, Usman says he intends to focus on growing in all aspects of life, including walking the straight and narrow when it comes to following the rules of competition.<\/p>\n
“I want to address my suspension. During my recovery, I made a mistake while trying to heal, and I take full responsibility for it,” Usman wrote on Instagram. “This time has allowed me to get my health back, focus on my family, and gain a deeper appreciation for life. I have breath in my lungs, life, and I\u2019m truly blessed.<\/p>\n
