Teams are reportedly holding finalized deals and talk progressions because they aren’t 100 per cent sure whether Antetokounmpo will be made available by the Bucks, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Bucks and Antetokounmpo reportedly<\/a> started discussing his future on the team earlier this season. The news came after Milwaukee struggled to open the campaign, sitting 9-13 in early December. <\/p>\n

However, Bucks head coach Doc Rivers refuted the report, and Antetokounmpo did as well. The latter went as far as to say he would never demand a trade from the Bucks. <\/p>\n

Even with Antetokounmpo’s vow to remain in Milwaukee, the situation has not gotten any better for the Bucks. They sit outside of a playoff spot at 17-24 and are coming off two ugly losses to the Minnesota Timberwolves and San Antonio Spurs. <\/p>\n

In the middle of being blown out by the Timberwolves on their home court, the Bucks crowd began to boo. Antetokounmpo decided to respond to the boos by booing the crowd right back.<\/p>\n

“I don\u2019t think it\u2019s fair,\u201d Antetokounmpo said following the defeat<\/a> about the boos. \u201cBut everybody has their opinion to do what they want to do. I\u2019m not going to tell them what to do and how they should act when we don\u2019t play hard or win, or we lose games or we\u2019re not where we\u2019re supposed to be. And I don\u2019t think anybody has the right to tell me how I should act on the basketball court after I\u2019ve been here 13 years and I\u2019m basically the all-time leader in everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Antetokounmpo has been with the Bucks his entire career, winning two MVP awards, the 2019-20 Defensive Player of the Year award and he brought an NBA Championship to Milwaukee in 2021. <\/p>\n

The 31-year-old is averaging 28.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists through 27 games this season. <\/p>\n

If Antetokounmpo should become available, he is expected to have many suitors, but he reportedly<\/a> may prefer a move to the New York Knicks.<\/p>\n
