Several of the top stars of RAW and SmackDown have been utilized on television as we approach the Royal Rumble. However, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wrestlezone.com\/tag\/rey-mysterio\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rey Mysterio<\/a> was missing from RAW this week, and now we know why. <\/p>\n<p>According to Dave Meltzer in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.f4wonline.com\/newsletters\/wrestling-observer-newsletter\/january-19-2026-observer-newsletter-wrestlemania-42-card-changes-wwe-aew-rosters-cmll-vs-aaa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Wrestling Observer Newsletter<\/a>, Rey Mysterio missed RAW this week due to an injury. Luckily, the injury is reportedly minor, and he\u2019s expected back on WWE programming quickly. <\/p>\n<p>Mysterio last competed on the December 29 episode of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wrestlezone.com\/tag\/wwe-raw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WWE RAW<\/a>, defeating Austin Theory via disqualification.
