Someone infected with measles traveled from Madrid to Montreal on an Air Canada flight recently, bringing a new confirmed case into the city.<\/p>\n
The Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS) recently reported that the person was on Air Canada flight AC 835. It landed at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport at 3:51 p.m. on January 8th. Anyone who may have been exposed to this traveler is advised to monitor symptoms until January 29, 2026.<\/p>\n
On the Quebec Health website, it was stated that: “As of January\u00a016, 2026, 11\u00a0a.m.,\u00a0nine confirmed cases\u00a0of measles have been reported in connection with the current outbreak.\u00a0The regions currently affected are: Lanaudi\u00e8re, Laurentides, Laval and Montr\u00e9al.” The new confirmed case\u00a0is not linked to the current outbreak, they said.<\/p>\n
