Chicago, Ill. \u2013 The Youngstown State men’s tennis team opened the spring dual season with an impressive 4-3 come-from-behind win over UIC on Saturday at the XS Tennis Village.<\/p>\n
After dropping the doubles point, the Penguins won four singles matches to douse the Flames.<\/p>\n
Winning singles matches were Alexis Maulouet<\/a> (No. 1), Rafael Le Fur<\/a> (No. 4), Oscar Gippet<\/a> (No. 5) and Alex Woiten<\/a> (No. 6).<\/p>\n The Flames picked up the doubles point with wins at all three matches.<\/p>\n In singles, Maulouet won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1, Le Fur won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 4, Gippet won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 5 and Woiten won in three sets at No. 6 to clinch the victory.<\/p>\n The Flames won at No. 2 and No. 3 in three-set contests.<\/p>\n The Penguins conclude their trip to Chicago on Sunday night when they face Northwestern.
