Arsenal have added 11\u2011year\u2011old Kingston Haye, son of former world heavyweight champion David Haye, to their academy. <\/p>\n

Kingston, a midfielder, joins from Sutton United, where he was named under\u201111s player of the year in 2024.<\/p>\n

Haye has long spoken of his son\u2019s ambitions, writing after Kingston received his Sutton award<\/a>: \u201cI am incredibly proud of my son, Kingston. <\/p>\n

\u201cAt just 10 years old, he has won the Under 11\u2019s Sutton Player of the Year award. He is part of an excellent team at Sutton, which has been instrumental in teaching him the essential fundamentals to one day reach his full potential. <\/p>\n

\u201cKingston is extremely dedicated and is pursuing his dream of becoming the world\u2019s best footballer. Stay tuned!\u201d<\/p>\n

Kingston\u2019s move to Hale End follows in the footsteps of a family steeped in elite sport. <\/p>\n

Haye himself was undisputed world cruiserweight champion in 2008 and later WBA heavyweight champion, while Kingston\u2019s older brother Cassius Haye, 17, is a tennis player ranked on the ITF Junior Tour.<\/p>\n

Kingston will be part of Arsenal\u2019s u13 side next season.<\/p>\n
