The European Commission is expected to open a formal investigation into X this week, over the spread of AI-generated \u201cnudified\u201d images.<\/p>\n

It follows concerns around the use of Grok to create non-consensual images, including of children.<\/p>\n

Garda\u00ed are investigating around 200 reports, while EU officials assess whether the platform breached the Digital Services Act, according to the Business Post.<\/p>\n

X has since said it\u2019s restricting the tool.<\/p>\n

Fianna F\u00e1il TD and member of the Oireachtas Media Committee, Malcolm Byrne \u2013 who has left the platform \u2013 is describing its approach over the controversy as \u201cshameful\u201d:\u00a0<\/p>\n
