\n\tThere have been rumors of a rift for years, especially when Camilla <\/a>invited Rose Hanbury to the coronation amid all the affair rumors<\/a> and power struggles behind closed doors. And now, after Kate\u2019s headline-making appearances, insiders claim Camilla is feeling the pressure.<\/p>\n

\n\tInsiders told Closer Online UK<\/a> about the alleged feud growing stronger, saying, \u201cKate\u2019s been centre stage over Christmas, and Camilla\u2019s been feeling sidelined. She\u2019s still reeling from the banquet, feeling Kate\u2019s tiara was no accident and highly symbolic. Kate was effectively telling the world that it won\u2019t be long before she\u2019s Queen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cKate is stronger than people think, and she is not backing down. There\u2019s no doubt Camilla is panicked \u2013 but instead of falling into line and respecting Kate, she\u2019s chosen to be territorial,\u201d the insider added to the outlet. \u201cCamilla needs to dial back this envy and resentment before it becomes a bigger problem. After everything Kate\u2019s been through, the last thing she needs is to be pulled to pieces just for trying to do her job. She won\u2019t back down.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThis feud isn\u2019t backing down either, and it hasn\u2019t for over a decade. In 2016, royal author Christopher Andersen claimed to the Daily Beast<\/a> that Camilla was behind Kate and William\u2019s split in 2007. <\/p>\n

\n\tHe called Camilla \u201ca bit of a snob\u201d who didn\u2019t believe Kate was \u201cworthy of joining the royal family.\u201d The Brothers and Wives<\/a> writer alleged that Camilla \u201cwhispered in Charles\u2019s ear\u201d to encourage William to break up with his girlfriend.<\/p>\n
