The Galaxy Watch 4 started receiving an update to One UI 8 late last year, but it\u2019s not often that the rollout spans this long. Some users still haven\u2019t been updated to the new OS.<\/p>\n
Samsung was on a hot streak, coming off a very cool streak with delay after delay hitting One UI users during the Galaxy S24\u2019s reign. Last year, Samsung was doing well to get back on track and deliver OS updates on time. It handled the One UI 8 rollout rather well, and has since brought One UI 8 Watch to Galaxy Watch devices spanning back to the Watch 4 \u2013 mostly.<\/p>\n
It appears that some users still haven\u2019t received an update to One UI 8 based on Wear OS 6, though their Galaxy Watch is eligible (via SamMobile<\/a>). Samsung\u2019s rollout made the update available for Bluetooth models in Europe, India, South Korea, and the US, among other regions. Cellular models, however, are stuck on One UI 7.<\/p>\n The rollout began on December 16<\/a>, and it\u2019s notable because it\u2019s likely the last major update for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic. The recent discovery is all the more poignant because some users are missing out on what\u2019s considered the last good update. The watch model was also the first to diverge from Tizen OS into the Wear OS hybrid that we have now.<\/p>\n \tAdvertisement – scroll for more content<\/p>\n One UI 8 brings plenty of stylistic and UI changes, along with a handful of health features.
