\nGomez went 2-0 at No. 6 singles, defeating FGCU\u2019s Cecili Johannessen Maeland in straight sets (6-1, 6-3) and coming from behind to defeat Miami Ohio\u2019s Lovisa Valentinsson, 1-6, 6-2, 6-2. The graduate student\u2019s victory over Valentinsson helped the Red Storm defeat the Red Hawks, 6-1, on Sunday.<\/p>\n
