{"id":420359,"date":"2026-01-20T00:56:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-20T00:56:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/420359\/"},"modified":"2026-01-20T00:56:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-20T00:56:10","slug":"godalming-public-toilets-win-national-loo-of-the-year-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/420359\/","title":{"rendered":"Godalming public toilets win National Loo of the Year award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 eZyhnA\">A public toilet in Godalming has scooped a prize at the National Loo of the Year Awards.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 eZyhnA\">The Crown Court Toilets have made it into the Top 20 &#8220;Premier League&#8221; of Local Authority Public Toilets in the UK.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 eZyhnA\">Godalming Town Council took over the running of the toilets in 2018 to save them from closure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 eZyhnA\">The toilets received an overall Platinum Award as well as a Platinum Plus Award for accessibility.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 eZyhnA\">The council&#8217;s chief executive Andy Jefferey said: &#8220;This award is a testament to the hard work, care, and collaboration of everyone involved in the project. <\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 eZyhnA\">&#8220;We are proud that Godalming&#8217;s facilities are being recognised at a national level&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A public toilet in Godalming has scooped a prize at the National Loo of the Year Awards.
