{"id":420724,"date":"2026-01-20T04:56:13","date_gmt":"2026-01-20T04:56:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/420724\/"},"modified":"2026-01-20T04:56:13","modified_gmt":"2026-01-20T04:56:13","slug":"belleville-general-hospital-foundation-appoints-interim-executive-director","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/420724\/","title":{"rendered":"Belleville General Hospital Foundation appoints Interim Executive Director"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"sc-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/bgh.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The Board of Directors of the Belleville General Hospital Foundation (BGHF) is pleased to announce Alec Bauer, Associate Director \u2013 Major Gifts &amp; Partnerships, has been appointed as Interim Executive Director,\u00a0pending the recruitment of a permanent Executive Director.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The search for a new ED began in mid-December when the BGHF announced that Steve Cook was stepping down from his role as he moves on to a new Foundation leadership opportunity in the Greater Toronto Area.<\/p>\n<p>Alec will lead the Foundation\u2019s operations and fundraising efforts during the transition, working closely with the other two members of the Foundation\u2019s leadership team, Amanda\u00a0Grydziuszko, Associate Director \u2013 Annual Programs &amp; Donor Engagement and Erin Hewitson, Major Gifts Officer, as well as the full BGHF team.<\/p>\n<p>Alec brings strong fundraising\u00a0expertise, deep knowledge of the Foundation\u2019s donor community, and a proven\u00a0track record\u00a0of advancing major gift and partnership initiatives. Since joining the Foundation, he has played a key role in strengthening the Foundation\u2019s fundraising approach and supporting major investments in hospital priorities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Board has full confidence in Alec, Amanda and Erin as the Foundation leadership team,\u201d said Wayne\u00a0Sheppard, Chair, BGHF\u00a0Board of Directors. \u201cThis group brings the experience, stability, and momentum needed to continue delivering strong results for our hospital and community as we move through the recruitment process for a permanent Executive Director.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Board has begun the search for a permanent Executive Director and is committed to ensuring a smooth and well-supported transition.
