Now they are popping up everywhere.<\/p>\n\u201cWhen a delegation from America went up to Greenland, we started to realise this probably wasn\u2019t a joke \u2013 it\u2019s not reality TV, it\u2019s actually reality,\u201d said Tonnesen. \u201cSo I said, \u2018OK, what can I do?\u2019 Can I communicate in a funny way with a good message and unite the Danes to show that Danish people support the people of Greenland?\u201d<\/p>\n
Demand suddenly surged from a trickle to selling out in the space of one weekend. Tonnesen said he has now ordered \u201cseveral thousand\u201d.<\/p>\n

The original version designed by Tonnesen featured a play on words: \u201cNu det NUUK!\u201d \u2013 a twist on the Danish phrase \u201cNu det nok\u201d, meaning \u201cNow it\u2019s enough,\u201d substituting Nuuk, Greenland\u2019s tiny capital.<\/p>\n
Some caps were worn at a rally on Saturday, where protesters waved red-and-white Danish and Greenlandic flags and carried handmade signs mocking US claims over the territory. \u201cNo Means No,\u201d read one sign. Another declared, \u201cMake America Smart Again.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to show my support to Greenland and also show that I don\u2019t like the president of the United States,\u201d said Copenhagen resident Lars Hermansen, who wore one of the red caps.<\/p>\n
Another cap-wearing protester, Kristian Boye, said the gathering in front of Copenhagen city hall struck a lighthearted tone while delivering a serious message.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m here to support the Greenlanders, who are going through a very hard time right now,\u201d he said. \u201cThey are being threatened with having their country invaded.
