Motorsports athlete Travis Pastrana<\/a> is returning to NASCAR for another start. He will take on Daytona International Speedway on Friday, Feb. 13, at 7:30 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n

According to a press release<\/a>, Pastrana will join Niece Motorsports for the season-opening Craftsman Truck Series race. He will drive the No. 42 Chevrolet Silverado RST with Brunt Workwear as his primary sponsor.<\/p>\n

Pastrana has made six starts in the Truck Series, but only one at Daytona. He joined Niece Motorsports for the season-opening race in 2023, and he finished 13th<\/a>. Two days later, he made his Cup Series debut in the Daytona 500 and finished 11th while driving for 23XI Racing.<\/p>\n

“I’m excited to get back on the track in Daytona with Brunt Workwear and Niece Motorsports,” said Pastrana, an 11-time X-Games gold medalist. “This is my first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race since 2023, so it will be fun to get behind the wheel again and see what we can do.<\/p>\n

“It’s great to work with Brunt for the first time in NASCAR. They’ve been an amazing partner, getting behind all the good times and bad ideas we cook up at Pastranaland,<\/a> and keeping myself and the Channel 199 crew safe and comfortable while we do it – expanding that partnership to the racetrack was a no-brainer and a great opportunity for all of us.”<\/p>\n

Pastrana has limited experience in NASCAR due to his endeavors in other motorsports. He has made 49 starts across the three series, with the vast majority coming in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. One of his four top-10 finishes took place at Daytona as he drove for team owner Jack Roush.<\/p>\n

Away from NASCAR, the Maryland native has built a career controlling basically anything with an engine. He became the first person to land a double backflip in freestyle motocross competition, and he won multiple Supercross titles. Pastrana is also a multi-time Rally champion and the 2021 Nitrocross champion.<\/p>\n

The motorsports veteran also co-created an action sports empire with Nitro Circus<\/a>. This started as a TV series on MTV before expanding with films and an ongoing live tour.<\/p>\n

Nitro Circus still travels the world while showcasing action sports athletes. They jump traditional forms of transportation, such as BMX bikes and skateboards. They also jump scooters, wheelchairs, custom mini-buses, and snowmobiles.<\/p>\n
