{"id":421670,"date":"2026-01-20T15:38:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-20T15:38:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/421670\/"},"modified":"2026-01-20T15:38:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-20T15:38:10","slug":"racing-bulls-completes-shakedown-of-vcarb-03-at-imola-ahead-of-f1-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/421670\/","title":{"rendered":"Racing Bulls completes shakedown of VCARB 03 at Imola ahead of F1 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s 12:26pm and the new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.autosport.com\/team\/alphatauri-36471\/36471\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Racing Bulls<\/a>\u00a0Formula 1 car suddenly roars through the silence of the Acque Minerali park in Imola.<\/p>\n<p>Responding to F1\u2019s new chassis and engine regulations, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autosport.com\/f1\/news\/racing-bulls-f1-team-sticks-to-white-for-2026-livery\/10790353\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">the Red Bull Ford-powered VCARB 03 was sporting the livery unveiled in Detroit on 15 January<\/a> and was equipped with full-wet demonstration tyres amid light rain showers.<\/p>\n<p>Although a few teething problems occurred in the morning, the new car was able to complete three laps &#8211; as many as the rules allow for \u2018Demonstration Events\u2019, which are limited to 15km with current cars.<\/p>\n<p>   <img decoding=\"async\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/liam-lawson-racing-bulls.jpg\" alt=\"Liam Lawson, Racing Bulls\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" loading=\"lazy\"\/> <\/p>\n<p class=\"title\">Liam Lawson, Racing Bulls<\/p>\n<p class=\"photographer\">Photo by: Davide Cavazza<\/p>\n<p>On this occasion, it was driven by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autosport.com\/driver\/liam-lawson\/841994\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Liam Lawson<\/a>, while\u00a0rookie team-mate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autosport.com\/driver\/arvid-lindblad\/953485\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Arvid Lindblad<\/a> looked on with curiosity.<\/p>\n<p>And the car appeared very similar to what was seen on the livery renders. The trapezoidal airbox stands out, as does the nose, which dives very close to the front wing\u2019s main plane. The sidepod inlets are extremely narrow \u2013 a solution that was seen on all cars that have run so far. A pushrod layout is used for both front and rear suspensions and will remain for the Barcelona test from 26-30 January.<\/p>\n<p>Racing Bulls will be back on track on Wednesday for a 200km \u2018Promotional Event\u2019, i.e. a filming day, where Lawson and Lindblad are expected to share the new car.
