\"Dancegod <\/a>Dancegod Lloyd (R) expressed disappointment in Slim Buster’s (L) comment<\/p>\n

Founder of DGL Academy, Dancegod Lloyd, has addressed Slim Buster\u2019s criticism accusing him of repeating the same dance moves during performances.<\/p>\n

In an interview on Hitz FM on January 19, 2026, Dancegod Lloyd said although criticism is inevitable in the entertainment space, he was surprised when people he considers seniors in the field spoke negatively about him.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo matter what you do, people will talk. You have people you look up to saying certain things about you, and you\u2019ll be wondering what you\u2019ve done. But I also feel that is his point of view,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Dancegod Lloyd is a good dancer but he keeps repeating the same moves – Slim Buster<\/a><\/p>\n

On the issue of repeating dance steps, Dancegod Lloyd said he was disappointed by Slim Buster\u2019s comments.

\nHe defended his style, arguing that there is nothing wrong with repeating certain moves depending on the words used by an artiste on the song he is performing to.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is nothing wrong with repeating the same dance steps. When the artiste is talking about \u2018head,\u2019 I don\u2019t know where else I can hold. I was very disappointed, because this is somebody we all used to look up to and love,\u201d he argued.<\/p>\n

Despite everything, Dancegod Lloyd said he still respects Slim Buster. He disclosed that he does not wish to engage in a conversation with the veteran dancer again.<\/p>\n

\u201cI still love and respect him, but I just feel that I wouldn\u2019t want to have any conversation with him again. I remember one time he wanted me to dance to his song, but I directed him to go through the right channel, and I don\u2019t know what happened there,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Slim Buster shared his concerns during an interview on Joy Prime TV in October 2025, noting that the lifespan of a dancer is usually short. He said dancers in Ghana need to diversify to stay relevant.<\/p>\n

According to him, blending dance with music or other creative crafts is key to extending one\u2019s career. <\/p>\n

Using Dancegod Lloyd as an example, he claimed the dancer needs to evolve beyond similar dance routines.<\/p>\n

\u201cDancers, their lifespan is limited. As a dancer in Ghana, your lifespan is limited, you need to add music. Without music, you\u2019ll be stagnant. There is this guy called Dancegod Lloyd. \u201cDancegod Lloyd is a beautiful dancer but you can see he keeps repeating the same thing,\u201d Slim Buster said.<\/p>\n
