A 35-year-old woman faces charges stemming from an investigation launched by her employer.<\/p>\n
The employer\u00a0indicated several discrepancies in the dispensing of controlled substances by the woman while she was employed at a local health-care facility, the Sault Police Service said in a news release.<\/p>\n
“Further investigation revealed the accused had\u2014without following correct processes\u2014fraudulently dispensed and took possession of one Tylenol-Codeine #3 tablet, two diazepam injections, two Hydromorph Contin tablets, 33 hydromorphone (Dilaudid) tablets, two lorazepam tablets, three midazolam injections, 15 morphine injections, six morphine (Statex) tablets, one oxycodone (Supeudol) tablet, and 82 hydromorphone (Dilaudid) injections between Nov.\u00a028, 2024, and Jan.\u00a017, 2025,” the release said.<\/p>\n
On Jan.\u00a015, the accused attended the Police Services Building to turn herself in.<\/p>\n
As a result,\u00a035-year-old Ashley Laroue was arrested and charged with:\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tTheft Under $5,000
\n\tPossession of Schedule I Substance x11
<\/p>\n
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on March 16.<\/p>\n
