The second villain in Supergirl<\/a> has been revealed. The DCU<\/a> movie stars Milly Alcock<\/a>\u00a0as\u00a0Kara Zor-El\/Supergirl, the Kryptonian cousin of Superman.<\/p>\n

Who is Supergirl\u2019s second villain in the DCU movie?<\/p>\n

As reported by Deadline<\/a>, Diarmaid Murtagh will play Drom Baxton, the second in command to Krem of The Yellow Hills, Supergirl\u2019s main villain played by Matthias Sch<\/a>o<\/a>enaerts<\/a>. Drom and Krem have been described as \u201cruthless space pirates and human traffickers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Murtagh is best known for playing Leif in Vikings, William \u201cBuck\u201d MacKenzie in Outlander, and Donal McDonnell in The Tourist.<\/p>\n

Supergirl is based on Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, a comic book series by writer Tom King and artist Bilquis Evely. Alcock reprises her role as Kara Zor-El, who made a brief appearance in 2025\u2019s Superman<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice,\u201d the official synopsis reads.<\/p>\n

Supergirl also stars Eve Ridley as\u00a0Ruthye Marye Knoll, David Krumholtz\u00a0as\u00a0Zor-El, Emily Beecham\u00a0as\u00a0Alura In-Ze, and Jason Momoa\u00a0as\u00a0Lobo. David Corenswet<\/a> will reprise his role as Clark Kent\/Superman.<\/p>\n

Craig Gillespie<\/a>, who helmed 2023\u2019s Dumb Money and 2021\u2019s Cruella, directs Supergirl. Ana Nogueira<\/a> penned the screenplay. James Gunn<\/a> and Peter Safran will produce.<\/p>\n

Supergirl is the second movie in the DC Universe, which kicked off last summer with Superman. Supergirl is the first of two DCU movies this year. The second movie is Clayface, a body horror movie starring Tom Rhys Harries\u00a0as the titular villain. Clayface is set for release on September\u00a011,\u00a02026.<\/p>\n

Supergirl is part of DCU\u2019s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. Following Supergirl and Clayface, the only other movie from Chapter One on the release calendar is Man of Tomorrow<\/a>, the second chapter in the Superman Saga. Man of Tomorrow is scheduled for July 9, 2027.<\/p>\n
