On the Monday, January 19, episode of her and friend West Wilson\u2018s podcast, Show Me Something Sophie Cunningham & West Wilson,<\/a> the WNBA star, 29,<\/a> seemingly joked that she contracted Herpes simplex virus (HSV).<\/p>\n

\u201cI used someone\u2019s ChapStick and I got a herpe. I have herpes,\u201d she confessed, bringing her face closer to the camera to reveal a red cold sore on her upper lip. \u201cSo don\u2019t kiss me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI will say don\u2019t blame it on someone\u2019s chapstick, it\u2019s ok,\u201d Wilson teased, to which the Indiana Fever player insisted, \u201cI don\u2019t care!\u201d<\/p>\n

The University of Missouri alum claimed the cold sore didn\u2019t hurt and went on to predict how she thinks she actually got it.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo what it is, every time I go into different climates, my lips get so dry and for some reason I always get a cold sore,\u201d she explained. \u201cBut I also drank after a bunch of people and used a bunch of people\u2019s Chapstick. I didn\u2019t kiss anybody!\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the World Health Organization<\/a>, herpes \u201cis a common infection that can cause painful blisters or ulcers,\u201d and \u201cprimarily spreads by skin-to-skin contact.\u201d<\/p>\n

Additionally, \u201cCommon oral herpes symptoms include blisters (cold sores) or open sores (ulcers) in or around the mouth or lips.\u201d<\/p>\n
