\n\tWNBA star Angel Reese<\/a> has joined the Season 2 cast of The Hunting Wives<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tNetflix<\/a> announced Reese\u2019s casting Tuesday on X, confirming she\u2019ll be joining the series in the co-starring role of \u201cTrainer Barbie\u201d in the upcoming season. <\/p>\n

\n\tIt appears to be a dream come true for Reese, who wrote on X in August,<\/a> \u201cNglllll\u00a0The Hunting Wives\u00a0is a CRAZYYYY but good watch.\u201d After series creator Rebecca Cutter thanked Reese for watching, she\u00a0replied<\/a>, \u201cJust let me know if you need me for season 2.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tReese is also known by her nicknames Bayou Barbie and Chi Barbie.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe breakout hit series, starring Malin \u00c5kerman and\u00a0Brittany Snow<\/a>, is based on the bestselling novel by May Cobb. It follows a woman as she and her family move from Boston to Texas. There, she grows close to a socialite \u2014 maybe too close \u2014 and becomes consumed by obsession, seduction, and murder.<\/p>\n

\n\tSeason 2 will be an original concept-based continuation of the story, using the Season 1 finale as a jumping-off point. At the start of Season 2, Sophie (Snow) and Margo (\u00c5kerman) are on the outs. But soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together. As they play their dangerous games the question arises. Are they the hunters or the hunted?<\/p>\n

\n\tReturning main cast includes Jaime Ray Newman (Callie), Dermot Mulroney (Jed), Evan Jonigkeit (Graham) and George Ferrier (Brad). Season 1 recurring cast members\u00a0Karen Rodriguez<\/a>, who plays Deputy Salazar, and\u00a0Hunter Emery<\/a>, who plays her partner Deputy Flynn, were promoted to series regulars.\u00a0Branton Box<\/a>, who plays their boss Sheriff Johnny, is set to continue as a recurring guest star in Season 2.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Hunting Wives isn\u2019t Reese\u2019s first experience in front of the camera. \u00a0She previously appeared as herself in the 2025 political thriller\u00a0A House of Dynamite\u00a0starring\u00a0Idris Elba\u00a0and\u00a0Rebecca Ferguson<\/p>\n
