After Brooklyn Beckham posted an explosive missive<\/a> against his famous family, fans are taking a magnifying glass to all aspects of his wedding to Nicola Peltz, which was the source of major drama.<\/p>\n As part of his diatribe, the 26-year-old confirmed that there was a rift between his bride and his mother over whether the fashion designer would create her wedding dress.<\/p>\n \u201cMy mum cancelled making Nicola\u2019s dress in the eleventh hour, despite how excited she was to wear her design,\u00a0forcing her to urgently find a new dress,\u201d Brooklyn claimed<\/a>.<\/p>\n Brooklyn Beckham recently took to Instagram to air out his grievances with his parents. Getty Images for The Met Museum\/Vogue<\/p>\n Nicola and her stylist told Vogue that her Valentino gown was a year in the making.<\/p>\n Brooklyn claimed that his mother, Victoria, told Nicola at the \u201celeventh hour\u201d that she wouldn\u2019t be able to make her gown. Getty Images for Vogue<\/p>\n However, fans recalled that Nicola and her stylist Leslie Fremar told Vogue<\/a> at the time that Peltz\u2019s custom Valentino wedding look<\/a> \u201cis the culmination of a year\u2019s worth of conversations with Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli\u2019s team, two trips to the Rome HQ, and two US fittings.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt was the ultimate couture experience,\u201d Fremar said of choosing between sketches, fabrics and embroideries.<\/p>\n Peltz called the choice of designer \u201ca no-brainer\u201d in the interview as well.<\/p>\n While wedding gowns, especially custom couture, have been known to take quite a bit of time, fans weren\u2019t convinced that a year constitutes the \u201celeventh hour.\u201d<\/p>\n Though the Beckham family were previously very close, there has been friction since before Beckham\u2019s 2022 wedding. Nicola\u2019s stylist said that she went to 2 fittings in Rome & 2 in the US, her stylist described the process of choosing sketches, fabrics etc-that is NOT an 11th hour process,\u201d tweeted one<\/a>.<\/p>\n Another sarcastically wrote<\/a>, \u201cEleventh hour one year rescue from Valentino!\u201d and a third asserted<\/a>, \u201cgirl omg, you understand that a Valentino custom wedding dress is no back up plan or \u00e0 just in case situation right? when you make a claim that you had to scramble to get a new dress at the eleventh hour figure or speech or not it implies they had no options a year.\u201d<\/p>\n One summed it up, saying, \u201cI guess billionaires have a different definition of eleventh hour.\u201d<\/p>\n Page Six Style reached out to Vogue and Valentino for comment but has yet to receive a response.<\/p>\n Peltz did wade into the conversation herself<\/a> after fans questioned why she switched up on the designer, telling\u00a0Variety<\/a>\u00a0in 2022, \u201cI was going to [wear a Victoria Beckham dress] and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn\u2019t do it, so then I had to pick another dress.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"It\u2019s a dress whodunit.
