Mike Tyson<\/a> claims to have \u2018learned\u2019 from the mistakes he made ahead of his last outing against Jake Paul<\/a>, and promises to \u2018be better\u2019 in his expected exhibition match with Floyd Mayweather.<\/p>\n

The 59-year-old lost a unanimous decision to Paul in November 2024<\/a>, albeit in a contest that involved 14oz gloves and a limited duration of eight, two-minute rounds.<\/p>\n

But still, with their matchup being sanctioned as a professional bout by the Texas Combative Sports Program, \u2018Iron Mike\u2019 was ultimately handed a seventh loss on his record.<\/p>\n

Prior to their encounter, many had expressed concern over Tyson\u2019s deteriorating health, particularly after he suffered an ulcer flare-up earlier that year.<\/p>\n

The former world heavyweight champion later admitted that he had almost lost his life, but nonetheless entered his postponed contest with Paul and produced a largely pedestrian performance.<\/p>\n

Since then, Tyson has been linked with an exhibition match against Mayweather, 48, with reports suggesting that their event could be staged in Africa this coming March<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But now, as he gears up to take on \u2018TBE\u2019, the Brooklyn heavyweight says he needs to lower the intensity of his training.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Hard Rock Bet<\/a>, Tyson says that the demanding nature of his preparation for Paul undoubtedly had a negative impact on his overall performance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel good right now. This is the best I\u2019ve felt. I can\u2019t wait to start getting in the ring. I learned from my last fight.<\/p>\n

\u201cI left a lot of my fight in the gym. I worked too hard. I was too intense. I was too extreme. I need to relax more. That\u2019s what I always believe. I need to relax more \u2026 I\u2019m getting more and more confident, and I believe I\u2019ll be better in the next fight coming up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before facing Paul, Tyson\u2019s last professional outing came in 2005, when he suffered a sixth-round stoppage defeat to Kevin McBride.<\/p>\n
