On Wednesday, Jan. 21, the streaming service released the show\u2019s final season, which is set in Washington D.C.<\/p>\n
To celebrate a decade of work, costars Porowski, Tan France<\/a> and Jonathan Van Ness<\/a> all shared reflective Instagram posts from filming the final season, including images alongside Karamo Brown<\/a> and costar Jeremiah Brent<\/a>.<\/p>\n Porowski, 41, captioned his post, \u201cIt\u2019s not about how or even that it ended \u2014 the journey of it all was the part I\u2019ll hold close to my heart. thank you to each and every one of you who watched, laughed, cried, screamed, binged, and related to the stories we were lucky enough to be a part of for almost a decade. tenth and final season of @queereye is now on Netflix \ud83e\udef6\ud83c\udffc.\u201d<\/p>\n One commenter wrote on Porowski\u2019s post, \u201cNgl the backstage drama kinda kills the vibe of the show. I\u2019m not motivated to watch you all portray to be a big happy family on every episode knowing it\u2019s all fake. If you can\u2019t work out your own mess, how can you be in charge of fixing someone else\u2019s life?\u201d<\/p>\n Porowski replied to the comment, writing, \u201cA lot of us come from complicated families and still have jobs and positive things we\u2019re passionate about. The first occurred on Tuesday, Jan. 20, when the cast gathered for an interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings.<\/p>\n King shared that one hour before the interview, the show learned that Brown would not be in attendance. I want to shout out to the crew. I want to shout out to the fans. I want to shout out to the executives at Netflix.”<\/p>\n He did not thank his costars.<\/p>\n The cast were asked for their reaction to Brown\u2019s absence and statements live on the air and they expressed surprise at his absence while voicing their support of his decision.<\/p>\n \u201cI think, definitely a little surprised, but at the same time, look, we\u2019re so sorry that he\u2019s not here,\u201d Porowski, 41, said on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle. \u201cWe fully support, I think as a collective unit, him taking care of himself and I think, to echo what he\u2019s saying, we\u2019re here to honor the legacy of a decade.\u201d<\/p>\n Antoni Porowski\/Instagram<\/p>\n From left: Karamo Brown, Tan France, Jonathan Van Ness, Jeremiah Brent and Antoni Porowski filming ‘Queer Eye.’<\/p>\n France, 42, noted that the Netflix reality show \u201cwas never about us,\u201d saying he is \u201cso proud\u201d of all the work everyone on the show has done, including Brown.<\/p>\n And Van Ness, 38, took a moment to applaud Brown for taking care of himself, saying, \u201cIt is so difficult \u2014 I think both of you can identify \u2014 when you\u2019re on a show and you\u2019re just relentlessly working, it is so difficult to center what you need and how to take care of yourself. And he\u2019s been teaching people how to take care of themselves on Queer Eye for almost 10 years. And I\u2019m actually so proud of him for centering what he needs to do and taking care of himself. It\u2019s not easy and that\u2019s not an easy statement to make and I\u2019m really proud of him for doing that.<\/p>\n On Wednesday, several cast members shared posts honoring the premiere of the show\u2019s final season, including images featuring Brown.<\/p>\n France wrote on Instagram, \u201cHappy Final day of this Queer Eye journey, to my incredible cast mates, incredible heroes, incredible crew and you incredible audience who have made my wildest of wildest dreams come true the past 9 years of my life!
