I review smartwatches for a living, so you\u2019d think, by now, I\u2019d know my way around an Apple Watch<\/a>. In fact, the Apple Watch is the one I always return to \u2014 not only am I hooked on closing those damn rings, but it\u2019s like having an extension of my iPhone on my wrist, allowing me to call my mom, check my email, and use Workout Buddy<\/a> all while running.<\/p>\n

Yet every day truly is a school day, as it wasn\u2019t until today, having had an Apple Watch on my wrist for the better part of a decade, that I realized you could do this nifty little trick. Read on to find out more.<\/p>\n

The Find My Phone feature is the one of the most-used buttons on my Apple Watch, as I\u2019m always leaving my phone lying around the house, or tucked into the pocket of the pushchair. If you\u2019ve not used it, navigate to the menu by clicking on the button on the side of your Apple Watch, and press the icon that looks like a phone ringing.<\/p>\n

However, it was only today that I realised that if you hold the button down, your phone light will also flash, helping you spot it even more easily.<\/p>\n

Obviously if you have an iPhone 15 (or newer phone), and an Apple Watch Series 9 (or more recent), you can also use the handy precision tool, which lets you find your device using distance and location.<\/p>\n

Either way, if you\u2019re as scatty as I am, this is a tool worth knowing about, and hopefully I\u2019m not the only one super late to the party. Let me know in the poll below if I am!<\/p>\n
