The show also set its release date, and will premiere on July 1, 2026, on Amazon\u2019s streaming platform. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwenty-five years after the world met Elle Woods for the first time, it\u2019s a dream come true to share the story of how she became the unstoppable force we all fell in love with,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comingsoon.net\/tag\/reese-witherspoon\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Reese Witherspoon<\/a> in a statement. \u201cDiscovering Lexi Minetree and watching her step into Elle\u2019s fabulous shoes has been one of the most gratifying experiences of my career. I think our series\u2019 themes of kindness, authenticity, and believing in yourself will resonate deeply with fans of the original films and new audiences alike. I can\u2019t wait to share Season One with the world and start rolling cameras on Season Two!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elle is written, created, and executive produced by Laura Kittrell, who will also be set as the showrunner. The series follows Elle Woods in high school, while exploring the life experiences that shaped her into the iconic young woman she\u2019s known to be. It will also be executive produced by Lauren Neustadter, Lauren Kisilevsky, and Marc Platt.<\/p>\n<p>Legally Blonde star\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.comingsoon.net\/tag\/reese-witherspoon\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Reese Witherspoon<\/a>\u00a0will be involved in the upcoming prequel as an executive producer through her Hello Sunshine banner.
