But they won\u2019t have it easy with both facing strong opponents from Hungary (including defending champion Anna Bondar), whileRoland Garros semifinalist Lois Boisson<\/a> takes on Viktoriya Tomova. \nLeyre Romero Gormaz vs Kaja Juvan<\/p>\n

Head-to-head: First meeting<\/p>\n

Kaja Juvan is still on the comeback trail after missing almost the entire 2024 season. The 24-year-old was in excellent form around the French Open<\/a>, suffering from an unlucky draw in the final qualifying round. But she still made the final at WTA 125 Saint-Malo and won a stacked ITF in Brescia, making it clear that she\u2019s getting back to where she belongs. Leyre Romero Gormaz has been impressive in the first two rounds here, but Juvan\u2019s variety and all-around consistency will probably win her this match.
Prediction: Juvan in 3<\/p>\n

Lois Boisson vs Viktoriya Tomova<\/p>\n

Head-to-head: First meeting<\/p>\n

It\u2019s still a bit unclear how Lois Boisson will adapt to the tour long-term after her Roland Garros success. The Frenchwoman has shown she can dominate at the lower levels and has done a fine job pushing through the first two rounds here, despite a thriller against Tamara Korpatsch. Viktoriya Tomova is not an opponent she should be afraid of as she won\u2019t be forced to scramble in defense after any massive shots. This tournament is a good opportunity for her to prove that she won\u2019t be a one-time wonder.
Prediction: Boisson in 3<\/p>\n

Dalma Galfi vs Dayana Yastremska<\/p>\n

Head-to-head: First meeting<\/p>\n

Dalma Galfi was on fire in April\/May when she reached three consecutive finals, running away with the titles in Oeiras and Vic. Presently, the Hungarian still finds herself a little bit outside the Top 100, but this could change soon if she keeps going this week. Dayana Yastremska will likely be in charge of the rallies in this match as her style doesn\u2019t leave the other player too much time to breathe. Considering how strong the No. 2 seed has looked in the first two rounds here, she is the favorite. Especially as Galfi doesn\u2019t have much variety to mix things up.
Prediction: Yastremska in 2<\/p>\n

Ekaterina Alexandrova vs Anna Bondar<\/p>\n

Head-to-head: Alexandrova 1-0<\/p>\n

Anna Bondar survived a thriller against Noma Noha Akugue in the opening round to keep her title defense going. She will now face World No. 16 Ekaterina Alexandrova, which seems very tough as players of this caliber usually aren\u2019t making it to this event. For her high-risk playstyle, Alexandrova has somehow been very consistent over the last few months and picks up two or three wins every week. Bondar will need to catch her on an off day to have a shot.
