No, he is not, but we wouldn\u2019t blame you for being confused given some of the promotion we\u2019re seeing for his interim title fight against Justin Gaethje at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/ufc-fight-cards\/406095\/ufc-324-fight-card-start-time-date-location-gaethje-vs-pimblett\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">UFC 324.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">A promo for Pimblett played during CBS football games straight up claimed \u201cThe Baddy\u201d was undefeated, despite his record actually being 23-3. Newer ads for UFC 324 were at least technically correct but still baffling: they said Paddy was \u2018undefeated in UFC,\u2019 which is something commentators might bring up on the broadcast but has never been considered a legit selling point on promotional material until now.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">As for Paddy Pimblett, he recently discussed his losses with BBC Sport and said he would probably be undefeated across the board if the guys he lost to hadn\u2019t cheated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cWhen you lose, at the time, it\u2019s disgusting,\u201d Pimblett said. \u201cIt\u2019s even worse for me looking back now because the first fight I lost, I was only 18. I fought someone a lot older than me, and he only caught me in a submission because he grabbed the cage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cThe two losses that I\u2019ve got in title fights, both of them \u2014 I went into one sick, one I went into injured, and both of the opponents are on steroids. So, I could be 26-0, really, if I weren\u2019t fighting cheating bastards.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cThe Soren Bak one was harder to come back from because I had him in a fully cinched up rear naked choke in the first round,\u201d Pimblett recalled. \u201cBut because I went into the fight injured, me wrist was still broke. I couldn\u2019t get the proper squeeze on it. Like, I should have finished that fight. Should have won that fight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cIt is the way it is, and it shaped me. It made me who I am,\u201d he said. \u201cWithout them, I probably wouldn\u2019t be in this position that I\u2019m in now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">That position, of course, is undefeated in the UFC and on the verge of winning a title. Can he get past Justin Gaethje at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/ufc-324-news-results-paramount-streaming-updates-mma\/414189\/ufc-324s-best-betting-props-parlays-and-picks-gaethje-vs-pimblett\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">UFC 324?<\/a> Let\u2019s hope he\u2019s not injured, or Gaethje doesn\u2019t cheat.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Is Paddy Pimblett undefeated?
