Arctic Monkeys<\/a> have returned with a new song. \u201cOpening Night,\u201d their first release since 2022’s The Car<\/a>, appears on a forthcoming benefit album for the UK-based children’s charity War Child<\/a>. Listen to it below.<\/p>\n

The band recorded the track at Abbey Road Studios as part of the new compilation HELP(2), due out March 6 on War Child Records. The record also features contributions from Big Thief<\/a>, Cameron Winter<\/a>, Arooj Aftab<\/a> and Beck<\/a>, Olivia Rodrigo<\/a>, Sampha<\/a>, King Krule<\/a>, Depeche Mode<\/a> and Black Country, New Road<\/a>. The Zone Of Interest director Jonathan Glazer served as its creative director.<\/p>\n

HELP(2) draws inspiration from the 1995 charity compilation HELP<\/a>, which was recorded in a single day to to raise money for War Child’s humanitarian aid in Bosnia. It included songs from Radiohead<\/a>, Oasis<\/a>, Massive Attack<\/a>, and Sinead O’Connor<\/a>. Now, HELP(2) is raising money to support War Child’s continued work in conflict zones.<\/p>\n
