We&#8217;re directing traffic to alternate infrastructure to achieve recovery. I&#8217;ve seen some comments from users who can send emails but aren&#8217;t receiving any new ones.<\/p>\n<p>2026-01-22T20:41:29.681Z<br \/>\n<a id=\"elk-686fd766-2f7e-4ec4-a99a-dee1fe9a4aab\"\/>Intermittent interruption<\/p>\n<p id=\"03260fd6-307e-4599-84ca-bf8dcce8a368\" class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">I was able to load the status page again, but it won&#8217;t stay up. It specifically notes service degradation for Microsoft 365 (Business or Enterprise).<\/p>\n<p>Surprisingly, the page reads, &#8220;Users may be seeing degraded service functionality across multiple Microsoft 365 services.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>That message would normally appear in the admin center, but apparently the outage may affect some people&#8217;s ability to even access the admin center.<\/p>\n<p>The message says people may have issues with sending and receiving emails.<\/p>\n<p>2026-01-22T20:18:06.162Z<br \/>\n<a id=\"elk-52683332-8c13-4cec-b561-ca725c5b4dd3\"\/>Mixed bag for Microsoft apps<\/p>\n<p id=\"a1354409-cb8a-42a2-a7af-52ee58e20527\" class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">Over on Down Detector, Outlook, 365, Teams and Microsoft Store are seeing a growing number of reports.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">On the other hand, Azure and Defender XDR spiked but have quickly started to decline. It&#8217;s possible these services aren&#8217;t as affected compared to the big apps like 365.<\/p>\n<p>2026-01-22T20:09:14.780Z<br \/>\n<a id=\"elk-2a9606bb-a361-4a42-829d-405183ea34bf\"\/>Similar to previous outage?<\/p>\n<p id=\"114ae672-06b6-432e-a59e-9bf0db99ea06\" class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">During the outage on Jan 21, Microsoft blamed the interruption on an issue related to a third-party. It&#8217;s believed that an unnamed ISP caused connections between Microsoft&#8217;s services and the apps.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\" aria-hidden=\"true\">This led to user unable to login to 365 or Teams or in some cases even open the app.<\/p>\n<p>2026-01-22T20:02:36.525Z<br \/>\n<a id=\"elk-444ddf11-6212-449e-b9bb-83bc8ba01775\"\/>Microsoft acknowledges outage<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We&#8217;re investigating a potential issue impacting multiple Microsoft 365 services, including Outlook, Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview.
