At long last Zuffa Boxing <\/a>is set to kick off its debut event later TONIGHT (Fri., Jan. 23, 2026) as Zuffa Boxing 1 <\/a>is set to go down inside Meta\u2019s Apex<\/a> in Las Vegas, Nevada. Headlining the event \u2014 which will streaming live on Paramount+<\/a> \u2014 will be a Middleweight showdown between Irish sensation, Callum Walsh, taking on Carlos Ocampo.<\/p>\n

Walsh was Dana White\u2019s first-ever signing <\/a>to his upstart boxing promotion, so it makes sense to have him kickoff the debut event. \u201cKing\u201d is undefeated (15-0) with 11 knockouts and is coming off a unanimous decision win over Fernando Vargas Jr. on the \u201cCanelo vs. Crawford\u201d<\/a>-led undercard in Las Vegas, Nevada, back in Sept. 2025 (full results here<\/a>). As for Ocampo, he is coming in with a record of 38-3 and is currently riding a three-fight win streak into a bout he hopes will give him the spotlight should he pull off the massive upset.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an important night for White and Co. since the debut fight card to his boxing venture will either silence a lot of doubters (such as this one<\/a>), or give them more fuel to spit verbal venom at him for trying to change things up<\/a> to a combat sport that has marched to the beat of the same drum for decades.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t expect it to be perfect, but all eyes will be on this event.<\/p>\n
