Michael Carrick has revealed when Casemiro\u2019s exit from Manchester United was decided, while David Ornstein believes he has an advantage over other managers.<\/p>\n
Carrick <\/a>was recently named as Man Utd\u2019s interim replacement for Ruben Amorim on a deal until the end of this season but he will no doubt be hoping to earn a long-term deal.<\/p>\n Man Utd<\/a>\u2018s board have a lot of key decisions to make regarding a potential squad revamp in the coming months, with Casemiro revealed this week as the first notable exit ahead of the summer.<\/p>\n Casemiro is due to become a free agent in the summer and Man Utd have confirmed that they will let him go at the end of this season.<\/p>\n Now, Carrick has revealed that this decision was made \u201cbefore\u201d he replaced Amorim.<\/p>\n \u201cI think the announcement for Case was for clarity as much as anything, it was decided anyway before I arrived so it\u2019s not just a knee-jerk kind of decision,\u201d Carrick said.<\/p>\n READ:\u00a0Paul Scholes should \u2018f**king grow up\u2019 as shock four-man Manchester United midfielder shortlist \u2018revealed\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cThe type of personality, the character that he is, I think it shows with his performance last week, where he is mentally and how much it means for him to be here and to finish this season strong.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve already had that conversation with him and he\u2019s desperate to do well and finish well. It\u2019s good to see, so I\u2019ve got no doubt about him at all.\u201d<\/p>\n Regarding Man Utd\u2019s manager situation, Ornstein has revealed an update on Carrick\u2019s chances of being appointed beyond this season.<\/p>\n \u201cCarrick will naturally enter the conversation depending on how well he does.
