Expect significant disruptions to travel and possibly power<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theweathernetwork.com\/en\/news\/weather\/forecasts\/160-million-at-risk-for-destructive-ice-major-snowstorm-united-states\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">developing winter storm that could produce a catastrophic ice storm stateside<\/a>, and deliver a wintry blast to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theweathernetwork.com\/en\/news\/weather\/forecasts\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Ontario<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theweathernetwork.com\/en\/news\/weather\/forecasts\/strong-u-s-storm-threatens-heavy-snow-difficult-monday-travel-in-quebec\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Quebec<\/a>, is expected to bring a period of prolonged snowfall and blowing snow into Atlantic Canada on Sunday night into early next week.<\/p>\n<p>The exact track of the system remains uncertain, but the potential exists for significant snowfall over some locations. Some areas could see 15-30+ cm. The system will also be slower in speed than typical nor&#8217;easters, resulting in heavier snow totals.<\/p>\n<p>DON\u2019T MISS: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theweathernetwork.com\/en\/news\/weather\/forecasts\/160-million-at-risk-for-destructive-ice-major-snowstorm-united-states\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">160+ million at risk for destructive ice, major snowstorm<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Strong winds accompanying the snow will cause reduced visibility in blowing snow. Roads and walkways may be difficult to navigate. Consider postponing non-essential travel.
