Yungblud<\/a> has apologised to his fans after receiving backlash for taking a photo with Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann while on tour in Australia.<\/p>\n

The German artist, who also wrapped his own tour of the country last week, posted a photo on social media with Yungblud, captioning the image: \u201cAbsolute pleasure meeting @yungblud in Perth.\u201d<\/p>\n

Per\u00a0Stereogum<\/a>, Lindemann was hit with sexual misconduct allegations in 2023, when he was accused of spiking a fan\u2019s drink at a pre-concert party in Lithuania. More women came forward with similar allegations, however, Berlin prosecutors reportedly closed the investigation due to a lack of evidence.<\/p>\n

In an audio statement posted to Instagram, Yungblud said he \u201chad no idea\u201d about the allegations against Lindemann.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had no idea \u2014 obviously at the minute I\u2019m meeting lots of people every day without fully knowing who they are or what they\u2019re about,\u201d Yungblud said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I can assure you, if I knew about any allegations, it would have been a completely different story. You all know what I stand for, always. I\u2019ll be more aware of it in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yungblud\u2019s statement came only a day after his 2025-released album,\u00a0IDOLS, surged to No. 1 on the ARIA Albums chart.<\/p>\n

Originally released in June last year<\/a>, the UK songwriter\u2019s record originally peaked at No. 4 on the Albums list, before the excitement of his local run saw\u00a0IDOLS\u00a0reach No. 12 last week.<\/p>\n

\u201cI cannot thank you all enough,\u201d Yungblud said in a statement. \u201cRock n roll. The greatest tour.\u201d<\/p>\n

Appearing on the latest episode of the\u00a0Rolling Stone Uncut\u00a0podcast<\/a>\u00a0while\u00a0in Sydney this month<\/a>, the English artist opened up on the divisive reaction to his music that escalated after his performance at Black Sabbath\u2019s final concert ever last year.<\/p>\n

While he has since gone on to\u00a0create music with Aerosmith<\/a>\u00a0and recently released a new version of his song, \u201cZombie\u201d,\u00a0with the Smashing Pumpkins<\/a>, The Darkness\u2019 Justin and Dan Hawkins,\u00a0notably slammed<\/a>\u00a0Yungblud\u2019s\u00a0VMA tribute performance to the late Ozzy Osbourne<\/a>\u00a0as \u201ccynical, nauseating and, more importantly, shit.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRock music isn\u2019t supposed to be a gate kept boys club,\u201d Yungblud said on the podcast.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd it became that, that\u2019s why it was being suffocated and boring and so adherent to the past.
