Doriane Pin<\/a> is hopeful for the future of women in motorsport<\/a>.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively with PEOPLE at the 2026 Autosports Awards<\/a> in London on Wednesday, Jan. 21, the 22-year-old professional racing driver shared a heartfelt message to women interested in getting into the sport.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I have to give one piece of advice, it\u2019s to be confident and trust yourself, because if you love something, you have to do it in life,\u201d Pin said.\n<\/p>\n

The 2025 F1 Academy champion<\/a> continued, \u201cYou have to do something that you love in life, and if it\u2019s racing, just go for it, because it’s a beautiful sport \u2014\u00a0and you definitely have your place in the sport.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

At the Autosports Awards \u2014 often referred to as the \u201cOscars of Motorsport\u201d \u2014 Pin also shared her thoughts on the impact of the F1 Academy.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was very helpful for my career, and it moved me forward into the sport, and for sure, it\u2019s also a championship that inspired a lot of young girls that are watching the series and watching Formula 1,\u201d she said.\n<\/p>\n

Pin added, \u201cAnd now they watch Formula 1 Academy and say we have our place in motorsport, because it\u2019s a mixed sport and we can be there as well, so hopefully it\u2019s inspired many and we will see more and more women in the sport in the future.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
