he believed he would never cycle again.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 eZyhnA\">But Chatterley discovered the Cycle Without Limits programme five years ago, and now rides at Les Quennevais three times a week.<\/p>\n<p>Alan rides a bike that Cycle Without Limit specialised for his needs<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 eZyhnA\">Chatterley said it is one of the best things he has ever done, and it has boosted his well-being, health and confidence back to where they were before he stopped cycling.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 eZyhnA\">&#8220;It&#8217;s difficult to get it all out because I am enthusiastic about it because it&#8217;s done so much for me personally,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 eZyhnA\">&#8220;If it wasn&#8217;t for them adapting the bike and giving me confidence to do what I&#8217;m doing, I couldn&#8217;t have done this on my own.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 eZyhnA\">&#8220;This is open to everybody, and it&#8217;s an organisation that we must keep going.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/1768392369_261_grey-placeholder.png\" class=\"sc-5340b511-0 gUePlo hide-when-no-script\" aria-label=\"image unavailable\"\/><img decoding=\"async\"   src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/ad7d8520-f7ae-11f0-9746-bbf190b04917.jpg.webp.webp\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Claudia is wearing a black Jersey Sport Kukri jacket and stands outdoors beside a grassy sports field, with a blue event flag in the background under a partly cloudy sky.\" class=\"sc-5340b511-0 hLdNfA\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Claudia Andrade from Jersey Sport said anyone can give Cycle Without Limits a go<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 eZyhnA\">The programme is run by the charity side of Jersey Sport; it does not receive government funding and relies on public donations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 eZyhnA\">Team member Claudia Andrade said they regularly see people with stories like Chatterley&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-9a00e533-0 eZyhnA\">&#8220;We felt like this was really needed on the island, something where people could experience cycling, and it could be open for absolutely anybody,&#8221;
