Fabian Zetterlund<\/a> scored, and Brady Tkachuk<\/a> had three assists for the Senators (24-21-7), who had lost four of five (1-2-2), including a 4-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday. Mads Sogaard<\/a> made 19 saves for his first win of the season.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was great,\u201d Ottawa coach Travis Green said of Sogaard. \u201cI\u2019m happy for him. It\u2019s been a grind for him, and you\u2019re always happy with players that persevere and wait for their opportunity and play well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sogaard, who was recalled from Belleville of the American Hockey League on Saturday, was making his second appearance for Ottawa this season.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, long road back,\u201d Sogaard said. \u201cBut to be out there and see how hard the guys were playing, it was really special, and this is one I\u2019m going to remember for a long time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rasmus Andersson<\/a> scored his first goal with the Golden Knights (25-14-12), who have lost three of their past four games. Adin Hill<\/a> made 24 saves.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe emotion we had on Friday night going back into Toronto, we got to find that,\u201d Vegas captain Mark Stone<\/a> said. \u201cCan\u2019t just rely on Mitch\u2019s return to Toronto to get yourself into the game. We were ready to go, we were inspired to play, and for whatever reason tonight, slow start.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stone had his 14-game point streak end (12 goals, 11 assists).<\/p>\n

\u201cIt looked like an NHL team versus a junior team,\u201d Stone said. \u201cIt just wasn\u2019t, it wasn\u2019t what we are. So, I\u2019m sure there\u2019s certain things that we\u2019ll probably flush, but you can\u2019t just flush it, because you can\u2019t let this be the expectation.\u201d<\/p>\n

At 1:36 of the first period, Vegas forward Mitch Marner<\/a> was awarded a penalty shot after being hooked on a breakaway, but he was unable to get a clear shot off against Sogaard.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t like our battle level at all, our compete, our races early on,\u201d Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said. \u201cAnd typically the team will have pushback, but we didn\u2019t really have that either. So this one, we\u2019re going to have to have an honest discussion about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ridly Greig<\/a> appeared to score the game\u2019s first goal for the Senators at 5:43 after jamming the puck across the goal line, but it was quickly waved off for goaltender interference against Greig.<\/p>\n

Zetterlund was able to give Ottawa a 1-0 lead at 9:25, banking the puck in off Vegas defenseman Kaedan Korczak<\/a>\u2019s skate from behind.<\/p>\n
