A recently released documentary video provides a behind-the-scenes look at Vosgröne’s training regime ahead of the bout. The 29-year-old starts his day at UFD Gym in Germany, where he has trained since 2014. His coaching team includes Cassius Salov, who works alongside him to refine both striking and grappling techniques. Vosgröne revealed he has been managing his weight since his last fight in September 2025, when he submitted Fabio Moraes at Oktagon 76.

The video showcases Vosgröne maintaining a modest lifestyle despite his growing fame. He travels via subway and remains grounded while managing 644,000 Instagram followers. His social media presence has exploded over the past year, transforming him into Germany’s most popular MMA fighter with the number one ranking in the country. Fans regularly approach him for photos, often requesting he perform mock chokeholds or face-offs.

Vosgröne holds a perfect 5-0 professional MMA record with all victories coming by submission. His grappling credentials include a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt from Dickie Martin at Carlson Gracie London. He won the European Championship at purple belt in 2017 and placed second at the ADCC Trials in 2024. His most significant grappling achievement came in 2020 when he won the Polaris UK Grand Prix, defeating Tom Breese and claiming a £10,000 prize.

His opponent Chavarria brings a 7-0 record with three knockout victories. The 24-year-old represents IS 360 Sport Academy in Honduras and scored a first-round finish in his most recent performance. The stylistic matchup pits Vosgröne’s world-class grappling against Chavarria’s striking power.

The bout serves as the co-main event beneath the vacant featherweight title fight between Niko Samsonidse and Mochamed Machaev. Vosgröne expressed confidence during the documentary, stating his grappling presence creates significant problems for opponents. He emphasized his commitment to entertaining performances, noting that fans expect action rather than technical stalemates.

The weight cut to 87 kilograms represents a strategic move for Vosgröne, who typically competes at 205 pounds in the light heavyweight division. His team has been working to professionalize his training camp setup, with aspirations to eventually build a full-service facility including recovery amenities.

Frederic Vosgröne continues his preparation for one of his most challenging assignments to date.
