Modern master of horror Robert Eggers\u00a0has wrapped production on his fifth movie, Werwulf.<\/p>\n
The period horror film began filming in the UK last fall and is set to hit theaters on December 25 via Focus Features.<\/p>\n
Set in 13th century England, Werwulf sees a mysterious creature stalk the land as local folklore becomes a terrifying reality.<\/p>\n
Eggers directs from a script he penned with his The Northman co-writer\u00a0Sj\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Nosferatu), Lily-Rose Depp (Nosferatu), Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse), Ralph Ineson (The Witch), and Bodhi Rae Breathnach (Hamnet) star.<\/p>\n
Eggers and Sj\u00f3n produce alongside Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner for Working Title. Maiden Voyage\u2019s Chris Columbus and Eleanor Columbus are executive producing.<\/p>\n
Eggers is currently attached to helm a new take on A Christmas Carol<\/a> for Warner Bros. and a Labyrinth sequel<\/a> for TriStar.
