Canada Soccer have announced the 21 players who will\u00a0represent\u00a0Canada Soccer\u2019s Men\u2019s U-17 National Team in the 2026\u00a0Concacaf U-17 Men\u2019s Qualifiers. The eight group winners from the region will qualify for the 2026\u00a0FIFA U-17 World Cup, set to be played in Qatar at the end of the year.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

CANM17 have been drawn in Group\u00a0G\u00a0for the 2026\u00a0Concacaf U-17 Men\u2019s Qualifiers alongside\u00a0Aruba, Cayman Islands and Jamaica.\u00a0The\u00a0qualifiers consist of a single round, in which the participating teams are split into eight groups.\u00a0Each team will play against each group opponent once, with the eight group winners qualifying for the 2026\u00a0FIFA U-17 World Cup.\u202f \u202fMatches will be divided across six venues with\u00a0Costa Rica\u00a0hosting the Group\u00a0G\u00a0matches from\u00a02-11\u00a0February\u00a02026.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Canada will play\u00a0Cayman Islands\u00a0on\u00a06\u00a0February, Aruba\u00a0on\u00a08\u00a0February,\u00a0and\u00a0Jamaica\u00a0on 11\u00a0February.\u00a0<\/p>\n
FIFA announced\u00a0in January 2025\u00a0that the FIFA U-17 World Cup\u2122 will be expanded to 48 teams and take place on an annual basis between 2025 and 2029. Qatar have been awarded hosting duties for the men\u2019s premier U-17 tournament. Canada have qualified for\u00a0five\u00a0of the last seven\u00a0editions of the FIFA U-17 World Cup\u2122.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
In the 2025 cycle, CANM17\u00a0qualified for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025\u2122 following a perfect 4-0 record at the 2025 Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers, outscoring opponents 26\u20132 and conceding no goals from open play, while setting a program record with six consecutive wins in official competition. At the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup\u2122, Canada recorded its first-ever win at the tournament with a 2-1 victory over Uganda, earned a 0-0 draw against France, and finished second in Group K to advance to the knockout rounds for the first time in program history. Canada competed in its first-ever Round of 32\u00a0match, drawing 1-1 with\u00a0the Republic of Ireland\u00a0before being eliminated on penalties.\u00a0<\/p>\n
