LEXINGTON, Ky. \u2013 The Kentucky men\u2019s soccer program and head coach Johan Cedergren have officially announced the five-match slate for the upcoming 2026 spring season, including three matches at the Bell Soccer Complex.<\/p>\n
The Wildcats will open 2026 calendar year one month from today on Feb. 27 against local USL Championship side Lexington SC at Lexington Sporting Club Stadium at 7:30 p.m. This will feature as the third consecutive spring Kentucky has faced Lexington SC.<\/p>\n
The second match of the 2026 spring slate will feature a matchup against the Xavier Musketeers on Friday, March 6 at Corcoran Field in Cincinnati, Ohio at 7:00 p.m. The Wildcats boast an all-time record of 12-5-3 against Xavier in 20 previous regular season meetings.<\/p>\n
Kentucky will begin a string of three consecutive home matches on Saturday, March 14 at the Bell Soccer Complex against the Indiana University Indianapolis Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. The Wildcats also faced IU Indy during the 2025 spring season.<\/p>\n
On Saturday, March 14, Kentucky will face a rematch against a familiar opponent in the Indiana Hoosiers at the Bell Soccer Complex at noon ET. The Wildcats will look to avenge their 2-1 loss to the Hoosiers during the 2025 fall season.<\/p>\n
The Wildcats\u2019 spring slate will conclude on Saturday, April 11 against the Bellarmine Knights at 5 p.m. ET at The Bell. UK faced the in-state rival Knights during the 2025 fall season, featuring as the Wildcats\u2019 home opener, defeating the Knights 1-0 by a goal from the penalty spot from forward Joaquin Brizuela.<\/p>\n
This spring season will also see eight new Wildcats earn their first minutes in a Kentucky uniform, including transfers Dan Rose, Emil Corfitzen, Michael Lee, Fredrik Skilberg, Yasha Schaerer, Carson Hammond, Amadou Diop and Jacob English.<\/p>\n
