John Mulaney<\/a> is very happy to help take care of his in-laws.<\/p>\n

While appearing on Mike Birbiglia<\/a>\u2018s Working It Out<\/a> podcast to chat about his Mister Whatever Tour, the 43-year-old comedian revealed that he takes financial care of his wife Olivia Munn<\/a>\u2018s large Vietnamese family.<\/p>\n

Keep reading to find out more\u2026\u201cSo Olivia has a large \u2014 she\u2019s Vietnamese, and she has a large Vietnamese family in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, of which I am one of the significant financial contributors,\u201d John shared. \u201cFor the first 39 years of my life, I supported zero Vietnamese people \u2014 probably none \u2014 and now I have 10 on the books.\u201d<\/p>\n

John and Olivia, 45, have been married in 2024 and share two kids \u2013 son Malcolm, born in November 2021, and daughter M\u00e9i, born via surrogate in September 2024.<\/p>\n

He went on to emphasize that he loves that he can financially assist his wife\u2019s family, who are largely Vietnamese refugees to the U.S., as his own parents were are both lawyers that have never needed to rely on his success.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith parents of some success, you can\u2019t really do anything for them,\u201d John explained. \u201cAnd it brings me great joy to help out, to help and do fun things for Olivia\u2019s family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mike then asked, \u201cAre you thinking that when you\u2019re having a nice relationship with them, that in the back of their mind they\u2019re thinking: I wonder if he\u2019ll send me $1,000?\u201d<\/p>\n

John quipped say they he never has to wonder about that, because they\u2019ll just come out and say it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no wonder. In the back of the mind? You mean the front of the voice? The front of the voice \u2014 the words coming out of their mouth?\u201d he joked. \u201cHow refreshing, by the way, to be in a goddamn white family, never talk about money at all.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOlivia\u2019s family says, \u2018How much money do you have?\u2019\u201d Mike said. \u201cI actually like that. \u2018How much money do you have?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I tell them, they love it,\u201d John responded. \u201cThey couldn\u2019t like it more.\u201d<\/p>\n
