It was the perfect start for the Chairboys as they were awarded a penalty inside the opening 60 seconds.<\/p>\n
Junior Quitirna, who was making his first league start in two games, was pulled back by Callum Wright, and referee Paul Howard pointed to the spot.<\/p>\n
Up stepped Caolan Boyd-Munce, who fired home beyond Sam Tickle to give Wycombe the lead.<\/p>\n
It was his fourth in all competitions this season, and his second against the ex-Premier League side.<\/p>\n
Despite going a goal ahead, it was Wigan that bossed the ball for the opening 45 minutes, with Fraser Murray, Christian Saydee and Joe Taylor all going close.<\/p>\n
The second period saw Will Norris get forced into his first save, as he pushed away a fierce Taylor strike, while Tickle was on hand to thwart Woodrow and Fred Onyedinma.<\/p>\n
The game was then settled with 18 minutes remaining, when the forward headed home from close range.<\/p>\n
