(Image Credit: Monique Gessner\/Facebook)<\/p>\n<p>By Alyssa Rudolph<\/p>\n<p>MOOSE ADVENTURES<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\tJan 28, 2026 | 2:33 PM\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Conservation officers report Maidstone\u2019s community moose\u00a0did not survive attempted relocation due to pre-existing poor health conditions. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Town residents\u00a0spent the weekend documenting\u00a0the moose named Elliott\u2019s adventures; but worry quickly\u00a0rose as the calf showed increasing signs of weakness. Local conservation officers were called for assistance in relocating the moose.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, officers attempted to perform chemical immobilization and relocation. However, due\u00a0to its poor health conditions, the calf did not survive the process. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Community Safety explained, cow moose typically stay closely bonded with their calves for the entire first year of life.
