{"id":44134,"date":"2025-08-04T08:13:11","date_gmt":"2025-08-04T08:13:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/44134\/"},"modified":"2025-08-04T08:13:11","modified_gmt":"2025-08-04T08:13:11","slug":"lewis-hamilton-reiterates-f1-commitment-after-driver-change-suggestion-to-ferrari","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/44134\/","title":{"rendered":"Lewis Hamilton reiterates F1 commitment after driver change suggestion to Ferrari"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsportweek.com\/tag\/hamilton\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lewis Hamilton<\/a> has pledged his commitment to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsportweek.com\/series\/single-seater\/formula-1\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Formula 1<\/a>, despite a nightmare Hungarian Grand Prix weekend in which he proposed that Ferrari should replace him.<\/p>\n<p>Hamilton endured a new low in a troubled maiden season with Ferrari at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/racing\/2025\/hungary\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hungaroring <\/a>as a Q2 exit preceded him coming home outside the points in a lapped 12th.<\/p>\n<p>The Briton began the race on the more durable Hard compound, but his quest to salvage points was dealt an instant blow when he lost two places on the opening lap.<\/p>\n<p>Having been caught up behind slower cars across his opening stint, Hamilton completed some moves once he changed to the Mediums at his sole pitstop on Lap 42.<\/p>\n<p>Hamilton\u2019s advances stalled once he recovered to his starting position, though, leaving him to go into a much-needed summer break without adding to his points tally.<\/p>\n<p>The seven-time F1 champion\u2019s worst result with Ferrari did little to boost his mood compared to 24 hours earlier, when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motorsportweek.com\/2025\/08\/02\/lewis-hamilton-ferrari-probably-need-to-change-driver-after-useless-f1-hungarian-gp-qualifying\/#:~:text=Seater%20Formula%201-,Lewis%20Hamilton%3A%20Ferrari%20&#039;need%20to%20change%20driver&#039;%20after%20&#039;,useless&#039;%20F1%20Hungarian%20GP%20qualifying&amp;text=Lewis%20Hamilton%20has%20expressed%20that,1&#039;s%20Hungarian%20Grand%20Prix.\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">he suggested the team \u201cneed to change driver\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>When asked post-race what triggered the comment, Hamilton divulged that there are some dealings behind the scenes at the Italian marque that he isn\u2019t content with.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot particularly, when you have a feeling, you have a feeling,\u201d he said via Sky Sports F1. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot going on in the background that\u2019s not great.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Lewis-Hamilton-F1-Hungarian-GP-1024x576.webp.webp\" alt=\"Lewis Hamilton branded himself &quot;useless&quot;
