After the devastating loss of Thatcher Demko needing hip surgery, the Vancouver Canucks came back with a bang, with a 2-0 shutout victory vs one of the top teams in the Western Conference, the Anaheim Ducks. Drew O\u2019Connor was able to score a clutch goal in the third period, making it 1-0, and Teddy Blueger sealed the deal with the empty-netter at the end of regulation. This win not only doesn\u2019t take away from the tank journey for the number one overall pick, but also simply boosts the morale inside the Vancouver Canucks locker room.<\/p>\n

Max Domi has been on a tear in this rough stretch for the Toronto Maple Leafs since being moved up to the top line. Over the past seven games, Max Domi has logged nine points, including an assist on Morgan Rielly\u2019s goal in Thursday night\u2019s loss to the Seattle Kraken. Domi is looking to continue a four-game point streak tonight. His biggest game in that stretch came in the form of a one-goal, two-assist performance, contributing on three of the four goals in a tough 7-4 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

On the other side, Jake DeBrusk has been taking full advantage of his newly attained top line spot, where he looks to continue a three-game point streak and add on to his six points in the last five games. In tonight\u2019s contest, head coach Adam Foote is moving around the lineups tremendously to accommodate for multiple injuries to the forward core. Today, Jake DeBrusk finds himself on the third line, so it could be a blessing as he\u2019s paired up with two high-performing youngsters in Aatu Raty and Drew O\u2019Connor, or it could also mean fewer opportunities in tonight\u2019s game.<\/p>\n
