{"id":445629,"date":"2026-01-31T18:09:19","date_gmt":"2026-01-31T18:09:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/445629\/"},"modified":"2026-01-31T18:09:19","modified_gmt":"2026-01-31T18:09:19","slug":"boxing-saskatchewan-provincials-cancelled-due-to-road-conditions-swiftcurrentonline-com","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/445629\/","title":{"rendered":"Boxing Saskatchewan provincials cancelled due to road conditions &#8211; SwiftCurrentOnline.com"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mother nature with a technical knockout.<\/p>\n<p>Weather and <a href=\"https:\/\/swiftcurrentonline.com\/articles\/travel-not-recommended-on-dozens-of-highways\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">road conditions<\/a> have caused the cancellation of the\u00a0Boxing Saskatchewan provincials in Swift Current this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Unfortunately, due to road conditions provincials in Swift are canceled,&#8221; said Kenneth Blohm of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/1596789340578485\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sandhills Boxing Club on their Facebook page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The boxing club <a href=\"https:\/\/swiftcurrentonline.com\/articles\/boxing-saskatchewan-provincials-in-swift-current-this-weekend\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">had been set to host over 30 fights<\/a> between Saturday night and Sunday afternoon at the Living Sky Casino.<\/p>\n<p>Freezing rain conditions closed several highways across Saskatchewan this morning.<\/p>\n<p>There is no word yet on if and when the event could be rescheduled.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Mother nature with a technical knockout.
