Chief executive Omar Berrada<\/a> insists that a recruitment team back home was “working around the clock”<\/a> on new additions while United were away, but now is the time to close those deals.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils host Arsenal<\/a> at Old Trafford in less than two weeks at the start of another Premier League season. Ruben Amorim<\/a> is delighted with the captures of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, but will want more than two arrivals. Bruno Fernandes<\/a> has publicly made it clear that he feels the same.<\/p>\n

Benjamin Sesko<\/p>\n

Benjamin Sesko is set to decide on his preferred destination as he prepares to leave RB Leipzig for the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Manchester United<\/a> and Newcastle<\/a> United are battling for the 22-year-old striker’s signature, with the latter already seeing a bid worth \u00a370million rejected.<\/p>\n

Should Sesko opt for an Old Trafford switch, a deal could be sealed quickly after Leipzig made their financial demands clear.<\/p>\n

The Slovenian’s arrival could also trigger a departure outside of Amorim’s four-player ‘bomb squad’ still exiled at Carrington.<\/p>\n

Rasmus Hojlund<\/p>\n

Rasmus Hojlund<\/a> has laid out his plans. He wants to stay at United and fight for his place, and hasn’t been told he is surplus to requirements… yet.<\/p>\n

The signing of Sesko would change things. With no European football on offer this season, minutes would be limited ahead of next summer’s 2026 World Cup.<\/p>\n

Leipzig reportedly want Hojlund as part of the agreement for Sesko, and United would likely be keen to include him if it knocks the transfer fee down.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old is thought to have more suitors elsewhere, though, and should be able to find an escape route quickly if he slips down the pecking order.<\/p>\n

Senne Lammens<\/p>\n

Altay Bayindir’s shaky performance against Everton in Atlanta on Sunday reaffirmed a major concern about United’s goalkeeper situation.<\/p>\n

Andre Onana has also yet to convince, and Amorim does reportedly want to sign a new goalkeeper if his budget allows.<\/p>\n

United are among the admirers of Royal Antwerp’s Senne Lammens, who is said to be available for around \u00a315m this summer.<\/p>\n

It would be worth taking a punt on the 23-year-old Belgian before more goalkeeper mistakes cost Amorim dearly.<\/p>\n

Alejandro Garnacho<\/p>\n

As the Premier League season nears, the closer Chelsea<\/a>‘s inevitable approach for Alejandro Garnacho looms.<\/p>\n

Garnacho is waiting for a move to Stamford Bridge after deciding he wants to remain in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Given his desire, personal terms wouldn’t be a problem, and Chelsea<\/a> would be able to wrap up negotiations quickly if they meet United’s asking price.<\/p>\n
